This was the perfect place for us to stay in the night before joining our cruise as it’s easy to get to and has free parking. The restaurant opens early for breakfast & reception is open 24 hours so you can check in & out when you like. Overall very efficient & clean, and we’d certainly come back again.

Livorno

Lucca

A charming and compact town only 40 minutes from the Max Hotel Livorno, Lucca is famous for its 3 miles of ancient and well preserved city walls which are popular for walking or cycling. Its also known as the birthplace of Puccini and for splendid restaurants serving delicious Tuscan cuisine.

San Gimignano

San Gimignano Approximately 1 ½ hours drive east of the Max Hotel Livorno, San Gimignano is famous for its 14 medieval towers which can be seen from a great distance. This hill town also has many ancient churches to visit, four piazzas in the centre of town, and several interesting museums and galleries.
